Hawaiian Daze Gouache Painting for Apparel

The inspiration for this painting and textile design came from a trip I made to the New York Botanical Garden for the Georgia O’Keeffe - Visions of Hawaii exhibition. I loved the rich colors, vibrant florals and how this inspired O’Keeffe during her time in Hawaii. Here is the development of this design from original sketch to painting and finally textile design. Shown below on different mock ups for apparel to demonstrate the design’s versatility.
